Microchipping

Did you know that only 17% of dogs and 2% of cats make it home after they go missing? Reidsville Veterinary Clinic encourages you to consider microchipping your pet, even if they live exclusively indoors, just in case of escape! Unlike collars and tags, microchips cannot fall off and serve as permanent identification for your pet’s whole life.

At Reidsville Veterinary Clinic, we use PetLink microchips. If your pet becomes lost, animal control authorities or a veterinary clinic can scan the chip information to contact you. However, a microchip is only useful if your contact information is up-to-date so be sure to keep it current when you move or change phone numbers.

To get your pet “chipped,” please call us for an appointment at (912) 557-4993.
